Red and the passion for speed
"Enzo Ferraris passion for speed began at Alfa Romeo. It was the beginning of the brand with the 'cavallino rampante', in other words the prancing horse."

"Race cars are neither beautiful nor ugly. They become beautiful when they win" - Enzo Ferrari
Enzo Ferrari
After his many successes as a driver, mainly in local races, Enzo Ferrari founded Scuderia Ferrari in Modena in 1929. In 1932 Enzo decided to stop racing after his son Alfredo was born. Only after the Second World War, in 1947, did Enzo release the first car under the Ferrari brand name. After the tragic death of his son Alfredino in 1956, the V6 engine he had developed was given the name Dino. Enzo remained Ferrari's general manager until 1971. In 2002, 15 years after his death, Ferrari's top model was given his name as a tribute: the Ferrari Enzo.

Scuderia Ferrari
In 1929 Enzo Ferrari founded the racing team Scuderia Ferrari. At first this team acted as a satellite team of Alfa Romeo. The team enjoyed success with cars such as the Alfa Romeo P3. In 1937 Scuderia Ferrari was briefly absorbed into Alfa Corse, and in 1939 Ferrari began developing its own racing cars. In 1950 Scuderia Ferrari took the fight to Alfa Romeo in Formula 1. And with success, because to this day Ferrari is the most successful team in the history of Formula 1.

Alfa Corse
The extremely light and fast Alfa Romeo Tipo 6C sports cars, designed by the brilliant engineer Vittorio Jano, are unmatched in their class in the late 1920s. At that time the eight cylinder Alfa Romeo P2 dominates the Grands Prix, and on that basis Jano creates a smaller, lighter car, the six cylinder 6C 1500. In 1927 Enzo Ferrari, then still a works driver for the Alfa Romeo team Alfa Corse, wins the debut race of the 6C 1500 at the Modena circuit. Ferrari achieves an average speed of 107.6 km/h over a distance of 360 kilometers.
Alfa Romeo 6C 1500
A total of 1,059 examples of the Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 were produced. Only ten of these were built as Super Sport models and had a shortened chassis and a Roots supercharger. The example on display in the museum is one of the rare Super Sports with a supercharger. The car was owned by a racing driver living in London, Edgar Fronteras, who achieved a twelfth place with it in May 1929 in the Double Twelve at the Brooklands circuit.
