Diatto
Lithograph on paper Diatto, an Italian company, was founded in 1835 in Turin by Guglielmo Diatto. The company started out producing wheels for carts and carriages, and then expanded into building omnibuses, trams and railway carriages. In 1905 it began producing Diatto automobiles. Stanley Charles Rowles, an English artist who often signed his work as H.L. Roowy, managed to capture the spirit of Diattos innovative designs. An elderly astronomer looks at the stars and, to his great amazement, sees a falling star, or better yet a falling Diatto on its way to earth. Here we witness the birth of a new Diatto star.
