Lithograph on paper Giovanni Battista Carpanetto was an Italian painter and advertiser. He apprenticed at Doyen Lithography in Turin and studied art at the Albertina Academy in Turin, where he later became a professor. Noteworthy is his painting 'Suicide', which was exhibited in Venice in 1887 and gave rise to numerous controversies. From 1898 to 1906, Carpanetto designed advertising posters and produced billboards. The most important works from this period include those for Gancia (1895), Fiat (1899) and La Stampa (1899).
