Montfermeil Franceville
ca. 1899
Lithograph on paper Francisco Nicolas Tamagno, an Italian portrait painter and poster artist, was active in France between 1880 and 1914. After studying at the School of Fine Arts in Paris, he worked at the Parisian printing house of Viktor Camis. In 1905 he also worked for Drukkerij Gallice. One of his best known designs was Pierrot for the brand Cointreau, and he created many posters for Terrot Cycles, a company that focused mainly on the concept of speed. This work, printed by Camis, promotes the sale of wooded land in Montfermeil, the perfect place for a second home for Parisians and now easy to reach by automobile. Affiches Camis, Paris
