Norman Black (1894-1973)-karikatuur
In the 1920s he was a motorcycle racer and took part in eight TTs and countless other events. In 1931 he switched to motor racing. He won the Phoenix Park GP in 1931 and the Tourist Trophy at Ards. He remained actively involved until 1950 in various hill climbs, sports car races (including Le Mans from 1932-37) and rallies such as the Monte Carlo Rally. This series of caricatures was created by Frederick Gordon Crosby in 1935. The drivers depicted were famous at the time among British motor racing enthusiasts, especially for their performances on the Brooklands banked track and at major events on the continent.
