The Louwman Museum Foundation is a public benefit organization and aims, with a view to its cultural value, to:

  1. the operation of museums for vintage automobiles, motorcycles, bicycles and other means of transport;
  2. all that is connected with the foregoing or may be conducive to it, provided that it serves exclusively or almost exclusively the public interest.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization.
