What are the opening hours?
The Louwman Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs. We are currently working with time slots as a result of the national measures concerning COVID-19. You can choose your preferred timeslot whilst ordering your ticket online
Is it necessary to buy tickets online prior to my visit?
Currently it is only possible to buy tickets online. As a result of the national measures concerning the coronavirus, you can only buy tickets with time slots. This allows us to regulate the number of visitors and to maintain peace and safety in the museum. You can choose a time slot during the order process.
I have a Museumkaart, discount card or other valid entrance ticket. Is it therefore necessary to buy a ticket with a time slot?
Visitors with a Museum card, discount card or other valid entrance ticket are also obliged to purchase a (free) ticket with a time slot via the website prior to the visit. This is necessary due to the applicable security measures in the 1.5m Museum Protocol. Museumkaart holders can order a free ticket via the ticket system. In addition to your ticket, please bring your Museum card to the museum.
Can I buy a ticket at the box office?
Currently it is only possible to buy tickets online.
Can I only pay with pin or also in cash?
Louwman Museum is cash free. It is therefore not possible to pay with cash. This applies to both the museum, the restaurant, the museum shop and the parking garage.
Why do I have to buy a ticket with a time slot?
Due to security measures against the spread of the coronavirus, buying a ticket with a time slot is mandatory for the time being. Time slots are divided by half hour. Tickets and timeslots can be reserved via the website.
I am accidentally late for the timeslot stated on my ticket. Can I still enter?
The purchased ticket is linked to the reserved time slot. If you are late, please let the receptionist know. We will then see what we can do for you.
How many visitors are allowed in the museum at the same time?
We are allowed a maximum of 420 visitors at the same time, but in order to offer enough space to our visitors we only allow 50 persons per time slot of 30 minutes.
Can I use a locker?
The lockers can be used after inserting a € 1 coin deposit. Bring your own coins. Only use a locker if necessary. Whenever possible, leave your coat in the car or keep it on. Coats and small handbags can be brought into the museum. Backpacks are not allowed. The lockers are carefully cleaned frequently
How long can I stay in the museum?
You can stay as long as you like, during opening hours.
Is the restaurant open?
The restaurant in the museum is closed, refreshments brought along may not be consumed in the restaurant.
Can I visit the museum, leave to have lunch and return to the museum using the same ticket?
We use time slots in order to ensure an optimal distribution of visitors. You may not leave and return later using the same ticket
What measures will Louwman Museum take to make my visit as comfortable as possible?
The museum is cleaned more frequently and intensively. Lockers, keys and toilets are cleaned very regularly. This also applies to door handles, banisters and other contact objects.
Only use a locker if necessary. If possible, leave your coat in the car or wear it when in the museum. Small bags may be taken into the museum, backpacks are not allowed.
You can clean your hands with hand sanitizers that are provided in the museum entrance.
A one-way route runs through the museum. We have organised the museum in such a way that contact with other visitors is kept to a minimum.
As always, our attendants will safeguard the collection and provide you with information. They also monitor that the distance of 1.5 metres is complied with. They may approach visitors should this be necessary.
