Louwman Museum voted Museum of the Year 2013

On Thursday 14 November of last year, the International Historic Motoring Awards 2013 ceremony took place for the third time during a gala dinner at the Renaissance St Pancras Hotel in London, in association with EFG International and Octane magazine.

The most prominent individuals, events and companies in the field of classic automobiles from Europe, Asia, the United States and Australia are nominated. The Awards are presented in various categories, including Car of the Year, Restoration of the Year and Motorsport Event of the Year.

The most prestigious category, however, is the Award for Museum of the Year. The Louwman Museum was nominated together with Blackhawk Automotive Museum (USA), LeMay – Americas Car Museum, Museo Nicolis (I), Mullin Automotive Museum and the Mercedes-Benz Museum (D).

The international jury, consisting of 17 experts in the field of museums, (classic) car events, car designers and former racing drivers, unanimously chose the Louwman Museum as Museum of the Year.
