Meet volunteer Dick
September 3, 2024
Car journalist Dick Schornagel was already an acquaintance of the Louwman family. And he now enriches, as a walking library, the team of the Louwman Museum on a voluntary basis. A real asset to the collection! He has a soft spot for cars from the sixties. And preferably British, if possible. His private collection boasts a 1963 Bentley S. A dream come true. But today Dick and his dog Mazzel have driven to the museum in the stately, five meter long, green, whisper quiet 2005 Jaguar XJ V8. It was 13 years ago. I saw that shade of green combined with the red leather upholstery. And I was sold. The odometer now reads 270,000, but it still drives just as sprightly as it did 13 years ago. We believe that if the owner takes good care of the car, the car will take good care of the owner.
