A Fast Pick-Up

Watercolor on paper A watercolor probably by the hand of the twentieth century American artist Essa Chanslor Parker. Little is known about this artist. In 'A Fast Pick-Up' we see a summer day on a lively beach. An automobile drives away from the sea onto the beach. The driver is a handsome young man with jet black hair. He already has two young ladies sitting in the back of the car, and yet he still manages to pick up another fair lady who is only too happy to show herself off to the young man. This does not escape his notice, and his attention is now clearly fixed on this new siren. A perfect summer day at the beach.
