MOTO
1931
Max Bertrand has created an amusing lithography showcasing a busy Paris street scene with motorcycles, an automobile, a crowded tram car and various people. One can almost feel the impatience of the “Moto” (“Motorcycle”) drivers as they race down the busy street. Modern day traffic has become chaotic, and the young, boisterous motorcyclists circumvent the tram, an automobile, a pedestrian and a policeman seemingly without a care in the world for the other traffic participants. The cloud of dust and smoke seems to suggest that street racing in the past was as big a nuisance as it is today. Max Bertrand, del et lith (drawn and lithographed) Lithographer G.
