Dunlop Cord Motor Cycle Tyres & Belts
ca 1920
Dunlop Ltd. was a manufacturer of natural rubber goods founded in 1889 in Dublin, Ireland by Havey du Cros and John Boyd Dunlop. They invented and developed the first pneumatic tyre. J.B. Dunlop, however, saw no prosperous future in his invention and relinquished his rights to the company early on. His name did stick with the company though. This is a Dunlop Cord tyres and belts advertising poster. The poster clearly states that Dunlop will leave you satisfied and we see a motorcycle speeding off into the dark distance. But have faith, Dunlop will not let you down! This is clearly the message in the poster. Offset printers Howitt & Son, Nottingham
