James, The King of Cycles and Motor Cycles

James, The King of Cycles and Motor Cycles

The James Cycle Co. Ltd. was a prolific bicycle and motorcycle manufacturer from 1897 to 1966 based in Greet, Birmingham in England. Founded by Harry James the company started production with Penny Farthings, followed by an array of popular bicycles and by 1902 the first James motorcycle was born. Japanese competition would eventually force the famous company out of business, however, since 2020 The James is making a comeback! The poster promotes the safety of The James, the king of cycles and prompts the viewer to buy the bicycle for its safety merits. The cyclist is on a deserted country road and is obviously convinced he has made a wise choice with his James bicycle. Printing House Thos. Forman & Sons, Nottingham
