Lithograph on paper Leon Louis Oury was a French poster artist with an artistic advertising style. He preferred lithography during the modern period of the nineteenth century, and his best known work was 'Le Kosmos' (c. 1895). In this lithograph we see a romanticized Jeanne dArc watching the Societe dAutomobiles and the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Here she celebrates the victory of all kinds of automobiles and engines as they triumphantly parade along a fictional avenue of victory in Paris.
