Elvis Presley, the King of Rock n Roll, was a great lover of Cadillacs. Over the years he owned around a hundred of them, often not in standard trim; his purple and pink Cadillacs have since become world famous. This Cadillac Fleetwood with its 8.2 liter engine is not standard either. A kind of round lenses has been fitted over the original headlights, an abundance of chrome has been used, and on the sides thick running boards have been mounted that contain a light show which starts playing when the doors are opened. The dashboard lighting responds to the rhythm of the music from the radio. Naturally, the interior is fitted with special upholstery. At the rear there is a so called continental kit, an extended bumper with a spare wheel housing on it. This was first used on the Lincoln Continental, hence the name. On this Cadillac, however, the housing is too small to store a real wheel in it. Elvis was not able to enjoy the car for long. He died in August 1977, only 42 years old.
