Besides a distinctive stainless steel roof, this Cadillac Series 70 Fleetwood Eldorado Brougham is equipped with, among other things, air conditioning, self leveling suspension, cruise control, power windows, power door locks and as the first production car in the world a memory function for the seat positions. The luxury equipment also includes a perfume spray and a make up kit. At almost 14,000 dollars, this hand built (!) Cadillac Series 70 Fleetwood Eldorado Brougham in 1958 cost twice as much as a standard Eldorado and even more than a Rolls Royce Silver Cloud. Around 700 examples of this top model in the Cadillac range were produced. The museum car is still completely original. The model name Eldorado refers to the mythical lost city of gold, which was believed to be located in South America. In 1952 the name was first given to a concept car on the occasion of Cadillacs 50th, golden anniversary. Cadillac continued to use the model name until 2002.
