Cyclone 6-hp Cyklonette

Cyklon 6-hp Cyklonette

An unorthodox yet successful car that remains in production for twenty years with virtually no changes.

An unorthodox but successful car that remains in production for twenty years with virtually no changes. The Berlin motorcycle brand Cyklon presents a three wheeler at the Leipzig motor show in 1902. The engine is mounted on the front wheel, which is driven by chains. The Cyklonette is available as a passenger car and as a light truck. The first model has a 450 cc single cylinder engine, but this later, larger model in the range has a 1.3 liter twin cylinder. The Cyklonette is built until 1922, a time when most three wheelers have already disappeared from the streets. On 1 August 1953 this Cyklonette is donated by the ANWB, which owned the car for a long time, to the National Museum of the Automobile in Driebergen on the occasion of its opening.
