Paintings and illustrations

Explore our extensive collection of car prints and drawings, including the remarkable series of illustrations by Frederick Gordon-Crosby (1885-1943), the famous illustrator for the English magazine The Autocar.

Posters and prints

From the late 19th century onward, posters were the main way for manufacturers to promote their automobiles. The leading and most renowned illustrators and artists of the time were commissioned to create these remarkable works of art.

Sculptures and trophies

Many visual artists were inspired by the automobile to create special objects, not only for exhibitions but also as trophies at motorsport events. Materials such as silver, bronze and porcelain were used for this.

Miniatures

From the moment the first automobiles appeared on the road, miniature versions were made, often with a stunning resemblance to the originals. Like the Spindizzies from the 1930s, which raced along special tracks at speeds of over 150 kilometers per hour.
