Aston Martin Valkyrie in the Pitstop from 3 to 30 March

February 23, 2026

From 3 to 30 March, the Louwman Museum will present in the Pitstop one of the most extreme street legal cars ever built: the Aston Martin Valkyrie. Designed by Adrian Newey, the most successful designer in Formula 1, this hypercar has been developed from a pure F1 philosophy.

The Valkyrie was Adrian Neweys long cherished dream: to build a road car based on the uncompromising principles of Formula 1. Development took six years and resulted in a hypercar whose shape is entirely dictated by airflow, maximum downforce and ultimate performance. Aerodynamically, the car generates up to 1,100 kg of downforce at 150 km/h.

Under the carbon bodywork lies a 6.5 liter V12 developed by Cosworth that revs up to 11,100 rpm and delivers a total of 1,156 hp. Even at idle the engine runs at 2,850 rpm and produces 98 dB(A). Hearing protection while driving is therefore far from a luxury. The top speed is 354 km/h and 0 100 km/h is covered in just 2.6 seconds.

The Valkyrie is uncompromising even in its details. The seat is an integral part of the monocoque and therefore not adjustable. The windshield washer reservoir holds only one liter. The exhaust temperature is so high that on the first examples the rear license plate could deform. Buyers could even optionally order a complete spare body or a second powertrain.

Worldwide, only 150 examples were built. In the Netherlands, three are known. Even Formula 1 drivers Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso are among the owners.

This unique hypercar will be on display for only one month in the Pitstop of the Louwman Museum. A rare opportunity to experience a car that blurs the boundaries between Formula 1 and the public road.
