Alex "Bill" von der Becke was a British racing driver. He raced at the circuits of Donington, Montlhery and also at Le Mans, where in 1933 he won the 1500 cc class in a Riley Nine Brooklands. This series of caricatures was created by Frederick Gordon Crosby in 1935. The drivers depicted were famous among British motorsport enthusiasts at the time, especially for their performances on the Brooklands banked track and at major events on the continent.
