Confrontation

Confrontation

Pencil on paper Arthur Becker made at least four illustrations for a story set in the southwestern United States. Some of the drawings were published in the May 1920 issue of Pictorial Review. Becker was a student of Howard Pyle, a well known American illustrator, painter, and writer. Tensions rise after an automobile accident. The lady behind the wheel has run over a barrel belonging to a less well off woman, and an argument ensues.
