Mors 14/19-hp Landaulette Town Car
This is a typical example of a luxurious city car, whose body design would remain in use for a long time: the driver half or completely in the open air, the passengers fully sheltered in the back.
The bodywork of this Mors was almost completely destroyed by fire when the car was discovered. Using the remaining skeleton, the new owner rebuilt the coachwork entirely according to the original design by the Parisian coachbuilder Rothschild. As the name already suggests, this company was financed by the Rothschild banking family. The coachbuilder was a pioneer in the use of aluminum for coachwork, which was very progressive at the time. This is a typical example of a luxurious town car, whose bodywork concept would remain in use for a long time: the driver half or completely out in the open air, the passengers fully sheltered in the rear. In this so called landaulet, it is also possible to fold down the rear section of the roof. Here the driver sits above the front axle, the so called cab over design.
