The Ferrari 275 GTB Lightweight is presented in Paris in 1964. This rare example with a lightweight aluminum body has a Dutch history: in 1965 it is delivered by Garage Francorchamps in Belgium to the then Ferrari dealer Molenaar in Amersfoort. Remarkably, the car is completely original and still has its first paint, unlike most 275 GTBs, which are in showroom condition. The Ferrari was acquired by the Louwman Museum from the first owner, has not yet reached 50,000 kilometers on the odometer and is still on its first set of tires. The type designation of early Ferraris is based on the displacement per cylinder. Each cylinder of this 3.3 liter twelve cylinder Ferrari 275 GTB Lightweight therefore has a capacity of 275 cm3. The top speed of this car, seen by many as one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever built, is 260 km/h.
