Small engine, high revs, low weight; the origins of the Honda brand as a motorcycle manufacturer are evident in every aspect of this Honda S800 Coupe. The sporty Honda S800 Coupe, with a 791 cc four cylinder producing 70 hp at 8,000 revolutions per minute, is capable of reaching a top speed of 160 km/h. Soichiro Honda started building motorcycles in 1948 and in less than twenty years became the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world. In 1962 he began producing cars. Alongside a small pickup, he developed a twelve cylinder Formula 1 racer and shortly afterwards launched his first true passenger car, the S500. The resulting S800 was produced from 1965 to 1970. Around 11,000 S800s were built.
