The quality of the product is good, but due to poor purchasing and sales policies, Spyker runs into financial trouble in 1907. On top of that, the French importer orders five hundred Spykers, but cancels this order after the factory has already bought the materials. Spyker is left with the materials, as well as a debt of almost two million guilders. This drives the company into bankruptcy.
