Camille Jenatzy’s Land speed Record, 1899

The Belgian Camille Jenatzy set up a new Land Speed Record of 65.81 mph on April 29, 1899, in his electrically driven car ‘La Jamais Contente’ near Acheres, in France.  This was the last occasion on which an electric car held the Land Speed Record.
